As promised,

the first thing I made for Isabelle was a pair of springtime pajamas.  The weather is still a bit cool here at night, so the long sleeves and long pants are just right.  The pajamas are made from a lightweight, pale lavender, crinkled fabric.

The top fits perfectly but the pants need to be a little larger.  Notice she's still wearing her boots!  I couldn't get them off easily without being afraid I'd pull her legs out of socket.  I hope I don't have to cut them down the back to get them off!

Next will be a springtime dress; it's already cut out.  The chickens go out tomorrow and hopefully there will be more spare time for sewing in the next two weeks before starting a new flock.

  1. Isabelle looks so sweet in her jammies. Beautiful quilt on her bed too. I bet you are having fun playing with your pretty dolly!

  2. Isabelle looks quite happy with her new pajamas. She will stay snug and warm; while the temperatures are still cool. Try maybe a plastic spoon for a shoe horn to remove the boots. I know I have had to ask my husband to help remove some doll shoes before. You have to work hard; but they seem to make it okay and get easier with time to remove.

  9. Isabelle is adorable in her night time wear. The ruffles are perfect! Can't wait for her spring dress. I remember as a child getting so excited each spring when we would go shopping for our spring coat and dresses. I'm sure Isabelle is excited too.
