This Is What I Found This Morning...

a big hole, dug right in front of the steps!

Needless to say, I'm not feeling very forgiving.  I try so hard to have a nice area around the house, and along comes The Dog.  How do I reclaim the dirt?  It's scattered out into the grass, so I'll have to bring in enough to fill up the hole.  For now I've put a piece of poultry wire over it.  Urrgh!!

  1. maybe it is time to hand the dog off to someone else - hey I know a house just down the road from you that has some kids and a big yard for that dog to play in - you could drop it off LOL -- the people are very nice :)

  3. Poor Doggie...just trying to get close to his new people! The "girl" who does your hair once showed me a "hole" next to her house that she made for her dog. She kept it moist in summer so the dog would be cool and not dig in other places. I made Nell one special place and so far that is the only place she digs. Best wishes for you and Dog!

  4. I hear ya' girl. I hate when they dig up all your flowers to lie in the cool dirt of your flower bed. Never found a way to keep them out either.

  5. I totally know what your going through. One of my dogs ATE the neighbors fence, he's only an 8 pounder and my other dog digs holes in the yard... daily! And it's not like she picks a remote seldom used portion of the lawn, no, she created a huge dirt patch front and center. My husband keeps saying we should send her back to the rescue, but I don't think you're allowed to do that.

  6. Oh dear, and I was hoping somehow he would work his way into your heart by being the best behaved doggie ever. I'm so sorry Charlotte.

  7. Well,Charlotte, if I were you I'd be investing in an ad in the local newspaper and contacting dog rescues to hopefully re-home your canine visitor.
You got my positive thoughts and support on whatever you decide to do about the dog.

  8. That's so frustrating! I think that's one reason I'm a cat person!
