Simple Rail Fence for a Doll

I'm catching up with the unfinished projects.  This little top had been in the cupboard for a while, so I took it out and machine quilted it.  A simple rail fence pattern, made into two inch blocks, and a finished size of 14 1/4 inches, is just right for a small doll.  Soft, spring colors make it special.

  1. That's really cute, Charlotte. That will make a very sweet doll quilt. I haven't done any quilting for years. I guess I don't have the time and patience for it anymore, but you are quite talented at it.

  3. That is so pretty, Charlotte... I love those colors together!
How are you doing with your new machine? I'm still learning on mine... I love to experiment with the stitches, but that means I really never finish anything~ so far I've just mostly played around with it. James keeps asking me, "but have you actually MADE anything with it yet?" *haha*

  4. Thank you, Daisy, Mary and Paula; I do love the spring colors.

Paula, I really like the new machine; the many decorative stitches won't be used much but I do plan to try the blanket stitch for applique work.

  7. You're truly the master quilter, 2 inch blocks and an overall size of 14 1/4 inches. I admire your gift for being able to make such beautiful tiny pieces. I love the colors. It'll make some little dolly very warm and snug. :)
