My husband and I were blessed with three little girls; when the last one was born and I asked, "Are you sure it's not a boy?" I was secretly pleased to have another girl.
This picture, of the first two, has always been precious to me; she looks as though she's saying, "Now baby, it's like this ..." She did pull the infant seat to the edge of the table once, but I caught it before the baby could fall. 
They were only fourteen months and nine days apart, and became best of friends ... 
and then, along came another sister, premature, weighing only three pounds, fourteen ounces, in a hurry to get here and on the go ever since. 
They loved her but sometimes she made them a little unhappy, like pulling hair and pestering. I think they still love her though. 
I don't think I have ever seen a photo of Greta as a child! thanks for posting them.

ReplyDeleteFolky Dots,their grandmother made those dresses; most of what they wore was home made and I had lots of patterns but gave them away. While they were little a lot of their dresses were alike.

ReplyDeleteMy two sisters were 15 months apart....then 15 years went by before I was born. Someone once said that I was an afterthought. I told them that I was no thought at all!!

ReplyDeleteThis post made me laugh. Growing up, I never thought I would be friends with daughter #3 AT ALL!!!! LOL But she's pretty cool now that we're both grown!

ReplyDeleteHow cute! I have three boys and I was sure the last one was going to be a girl...but I was wrong. It's nice having all the same sex, though,they can wear hand me downs. My first two were around 21 months apart and then I went 7 yrs before the last one came along. Kinda like starting all over again.
