Happy Valentines Day

A little valentine from my first year in school made for Mama and Daddy. Mama kept things I made and put them in a scrapbook; you can see how worn the pages have become over the years.

Your mother must have been so happy when she opened up her valentine and found her pretty little girl's picture!

Please join me in our corner of the world where we farm. We recently retired from being contract poultry growers after 48 years, but still have our beef cattle. I work daily on the farm at age 81; there's always a baby calf to feed on the bottle and hay to rake in the summer. So, I quilt or sew when there's time. I'm much slower with a needle and thread now; however I intend to keep trying until I have to choose between quality and quantity. I'm always dabbling in something, whether it's sewing, quilting, or working in the flower beds. My gracious Lord takes care of me each day by giving me good health, a warm comfortable home, and a wonderful family. What more do I need...
