Webster's dictionary defines silhouette as "an outline figure, usually filled in with black."
I machine appliqued this silhouette a few years ago, bordered it to look like a framed picture, quilted it, and gave it to middle daughter who hung it in her office. Another can be found in my post for 12-6-2010, Contest Blocks. These would be nice done up as silhouettes of children or grandchildren; I could never get mine still long enough to draw an outline.Have a blessed weekend!

ReplyDeleteFolky Dots, I have made a lot of quilts; most of the recent ones have been written about on my blog. But, I put too much pressure on myself to try to be perfect and as I age and arthritis has made my hands hurt, I seem to be wanting to slow down a bit; maybe that's the reason for my apron sewing spree. lol
