A Question for You ---

This question comes from a controversy in my family, so maybe you can help me.

Is this the TOP or the BOTTOM of a tomato? I'd like to know what you think --

  3. I think it's the top, but I am certainly not a "tomato expert." :-)

What an interesting question, I can just imagine how it came about. I'd always thought that it was the top, but is it?!

  8. Technically, I think you're correct that it is the bottom of the tomato. The end that comes out of the bloom first (the top) is the smooth part. LOL But I call it the top because we set them down with that side up.
